The Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala put on each year to raise money for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.

A theme is picked for the gala, and the rich and famous then dress up in “immodest and sexually provocative costumes” befitting the theme.

This year, the theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” In other words, the point of this year’s Met Gala was to ridicule and sexualize Catholicism.

Madonna, for example, showed up wearing a goth costume with a golden crown and a big cross between her breasts. And Pop star Rihanna “dressed in a sexually-provocative outfit made to look like papal vestments.”

According to the news article below, “The exhibit included a sadomasochistic bondage mask covered in rosaries.”

And how did the Catholic church take this blatant insult to their religion? Well, they sent their pro-LGBT priest, James Martin, to the Gala, who tweeted throughout the event about what a great time he was having there, and how people were coming up to him and telling him how “sexy” he looks in his priest’s garb.

According to the news article below:

“Rather than condemning the event, the Vatican supplied vestments for an accompanying clothing exhibit, and sent the boy’s choir of the Sistine Chapel to sing for partygoers.”

The article goes on to state that “Cardinal Timothy Dolan called it a ‘great evening’ and ‘the social event of the year.’ He later denied that the event was blasphemous” or in poor taste.

One Catholic, Joseph Sciambra, described in the news article as “an ex-gay and former porn star who returned to the Catholic faith of his youth,” was not shy about stating his disdain for the sordid event and the way the Catholic church appears to have gone along with it. He stated:

“Anyone shocked that James Martin was mixed-up in the whole Met Gala? That’s part of the plan, and has been for a long time — get a few gullible and greedy Bishops to mix with wealthy/well-connected members of the LGBT community at $30,000 a pop cocktail parties – meet the same-sex partner, listen to how uncharitable the Roman Catholic Church is to gay couples, approve the dissident ministry, go back to the chancery feeling good about yourself.”

Sciambra went on to say, “When the Roman Catholic Church lost a sense of the sacred, the secular world, in a desperate need to experience transcendence – made the sacred into something profane.”

And so it is. The modern Christian church — not just the Catholic church alone, mind you, but many other denominations as well — are practicing “Big Tent” religion by gradually caving in to pressure to normalize deviancy and perversion, and even bestow upon it a “sense of the sacred.”

I warned about that in my detailed study, “Lucifer, the Divine Androgyne and Ancient God of the Modern Trangender Movement.”

In that study, I document the fact that homosexuality and transgenderism are ancient pagan religious practices that occultists have claimed for centuries “puts one into direct contact with the divine.”
