1Co 3:20  And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

The “wise” in this world want to build a temple in Jerusalem for the antichrist to be seated in, and for the attention of the people of this world to be directed to.

This is why, during the millennium teaching period, the elect of God will be teaching the people “the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.”  Today, they quite literally don’t know the difference between things that are Godly and things that are Satanic.

You can do that now, too, beloved.  That’s what I’m doing in this commentary, for example, i.e., helping people see the difference between the holy and the profane.

You see, in this flesh age, “good and evil” are being mixed together in an attempt to transform the world into a new way, ultimately turning it away from God but all the while maintaining a facade of “godliness.”  Christian support for a so-called “Third Temple” at Jerusalem is part of that mixing of good and evil.

At Christ’s Second Advent, all of this transformational work will be brought to a screeching halt.  And during the millennium teaching period which begins that very day, the people will be taught the difference between right and wrong, and what’s Godly versus what’s ungodly.

1Co 3:21  Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;

You want to glory in Trump being called on to build the so-called Third Temple in Jerusalem?  Go right ahead.

But don’t say no one tried to warn you.  You go against God’s Word at your own peril.  Consider spending more time working on building the true temple, and less time getting caught up in these worldly things that are going to be burned up at Christ’s Second Advent.

Yes, the calls to build the false temple at Jerusalem are indeed a sign.  And we need to watch the signs – especially those emanating from Jerusalem.  But to root for it is essentially to root for the substitute for the true temple.  Be very careful about what you root for.  It’s about as close as you can get to rooting for the antichrist himself.

1Co 3:22  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;

1Co 3:23  And ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.

God’s many-membered body of faithful Christians are destined to rule equally with Christ at His Second Advent (Revelation 20:6).  See to it that you’re found building (and supporting) the true temple, the spiritual temple known as Christ and His faithful body of believers.

Finally, as Christ told the false Jews who hated Him, just before His crucifixion, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

You don’t hear the Jews in Jerusalem calling out blessings to Jesus Christ, now, do you?  No, you don’t.  They hate, loathe and despise Him, claiming in their “holy book” the Talmud that He’s boiling in hell in hot excrement as punishment for His “sins.”

Therefore, their spiritual house is left unto them “desolate,” meaning “uninhabited,” and “laid waste.”  It’s been laid waste for nearly 2,000 years, beloved.  And that’s how it’s going to stay until the Lord returns.  So again, be careful what you cheer for.  You might be cheering for something far outside the scope of God’s Word.

Many Christians erroneously believe all of this talk about the building of a “Third Temple” signals the imminent return of Jesus.  It doesn’t.  But it does signal the imminent arrival of Christ’s enemy, Satan, in his role as the antichrist, the false messiah.

In the end, unfortunately, all-too-many misguided Christians will embrace that false messiah, thinking him to be the Lord.
