We’ve often been taught that there are both “good figs” and “bad figs” in the Middle East land of Israel today.  And Jeremiah chapter 24 is usually given as the reference for this teaching. That’s where God gave the prophet Jeremiah a vision of two baskets of figs set before His temple in Jerusalem — one basket containing “very good figs” (i.e., symbolizing true Judahites) and the other basket containing “very evil figs” (i.e., symbolizing the sons of Cain pretending to be Jews). But is this correct?  And how did both good and bad figs end up together in the Middle East land of Israel in these final days of this flesh earth age?  Here’s the answer, straight from the Scriptures…
