According to this news article, the opening of the world’s largest train tunnel, the Gothard Base Tunnel, which runs through the Swiss Alps in Europe and took 17 years to complete, was inaugurated this month (June 2016).

The tunnel is a cited as a masterpiece of human ingenuity and technological achievement.  It’s also said to be “a symbol of European unification.”

In days now long past, such a monumental achievement would have been cause for rejoicing to God and celebratory praise of His name among the people of the western Christian nations.

Today, however, God is no longer in the picture.

Instead, the Opening Ceremony for the tunnel, which was “attended by Europe’s most powerful people” including numerous “European dignitaries” (i.e., German Chancellor Merkel, French President Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Renzi, etc.) consisted of a theatrical production of a bizarre occult ritual featuring a man dressed as a horned goat who appears to be leading a group of European workers and citizens into worshipping him (and later marrying him) as they pass through the tunnel and come outside under the gaze of a giant all-seeing eye on a huge digitalized screen.

The ritual includes what’s been described as a “demonic fallen angel” taking the appearance of a “baby-faced Lucifer”…a procession of men walking while holding up horned skulls …a procession of women dressed in white with small horns on their heads…three ghost-like apparitions floating in front of a digital screen featuring a gigantic all-seeing eye symbol…

…plus, what appears to be a “wedding” of subservient people in white veils to the horned goat-man…and a digitalized image of the goat man on the huge screen making decidedly evil faces while three Egyptian scarabs (i.e., dung beetles worshipped as sacred in ancient Egypt; symbolizing self-creation and re-birth) also fill the screen.

And that’s just the “Cliff notes” version of the contents of this massive occult theatrical ritual performed to celebrate the completion of the Gothard Base Tunnel in Europe.  You can see more of the ritual, including color photos and a video excerpt, along with some fascinating commentary, here.  (And the full ceremony can still be seen here.)

Interestingly, in ancient Egypt the scarab (i.e., dung beetle) featured in the ceremony, was commonly associated with the so-called “creator god” named Atum, who is also associated with the sun god Re (see here and here), and who was originally a serpent that sprang forth from Nun, the so-called “primordial waters” of timelessness (later associated with the goddess Sekhmet).

In Egyptian mythology, Nun, in turn “played a role in the destruction of mankind” (see here) for their failure to obey Re, the sun god (aka Atum, the ancient serpent).  And how was this destruction of mankind undertaken?  At Nun’s suggestion, Re, the sun god, called forth his Eye in the form of the goddess Sekhmet who travelled across Egypt killing all men.

In other words, the occult ritual celebrating the completion of the Gothard Base Tunnel – replete with a horned goat god, various spirits, a false kingdom wedding, Egyptian scarabs and the giant eye of Re — centered around ancient Egyptian gods connected with the death of mankind, and apparently, its subsequent rebirth (in modern times) under a horned goat-god.

The horned goat god, of course, in occult religions is known as Baphomet (among other names), often associated with the occult philosophies of the Knights Templar, the Freemasons and the Kaballah of the false Jews.

According to the French Kabbalist Eliphas Levi, the name “Templar Baphomet” is composed of three abbreviations: Tem. Ohp. AB., or “Templi omnium hominum pacts abbas,” meaning “the father of the temple of peace of all men.”

Others claim the name Baphomet comes from the Arabic word Abu fihama(t), meaning “the father of understanding.”  And Shonfield, one of the scholars who worked on the Dead Sea Scrolls, claims that a Jewish cipher known as the Atbash cipher, when applied to the name Baphomet, transposes it into the Greek word Sophia, meaning knowledge (also a Greek goddess).  See more here.

Of course, Baphomet is representative of the devil, and the devil is Satan, that old serpent and great adversary of our God and His Christ (Revelation 12:9; Revelation 20:2).

There is much more that could be said, from an occult point-of-view, about the various characters and symbols in the occult theatrical ceremony celebrating the opening of Europe’s largest train tunnel.  But more important to Christians is the Biblical view — our heavenly Father’s view.  Let’s take a look at what God has to say in the great second Psalm:

Psa 2:1  Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?

The nations rage tumultuously against God, as the people turn back to their empty (i.e., vain) idols and occult religious practices of old — often without understanding what they’re being led into by their own leaders.

Psa 2:2  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,

 

Psa 2:3  Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.

They no longer want the Lord Most High and His Christ to rule over them.  As the ancient Israelites in the wilderness longed to turn back to Egypt, so these modern-day “Israelites” of western Europe who once embraced Christianity with such fervor now also long to turn back to Egypt, which God in His Word characterizes as the “iron furnace” of both spiritual and physical servitude.

In other words, the governmental leaders of Europe are leading their Christian people to cast off their inheritance in Christ (Deut. 4:20) and look back to the spiritual and physical bondage of old for their salvation.

Psa 2:4  He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

God laughs at their efforts to scorn Him and cast aside his Sovereign rule.  Their day is coming.

Psa 2:5  Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.

Our Father is long-suffering (II Peter 3:9).  But His patience has a limit (II Peter 3:10).  Considering what’s going on these days, I can only imagine that  He’s just about reached it.

Psa 2:6  Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.

 

Psa 2:7  I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

The only begotten Son of God is the way, the truth and the light. And there is no other.  Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Psa 2:8  Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

Our heavenly Father is giving to Christ the nations and their people (i.e., “heathen”).  And Christ will give them exactly what they deserve, upon His Second Advent.

Psa 2:9  Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Revelation chapter 18 describes in great detail the destruction of the nations and their vast global trading system (of which the new train tunnel is but a single aspect), at Christ’s Second Advent.  Revelation 2:27 summarizes it, succinctly, even quoting from this same Psalm.  As it’s written, so it will come to pass.

Psa 2:10  Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

This is God’s warning to the great kings of the earth.  They won’t listen, of course.  But He always sends forth His Word of warning first, before carrying it out.

Psa 2:11  Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

 

Psa 2:12  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

Keep your trust in the Lord, beloved.  While the world is going to hell in a hand basket, even to the point of blasphemously worshipping the ancient gods of Egypt again in place of our heavenly Father, it’s the Lord’s “little flock” who will inherit all things in Christ for remaining faithful to Him in the face of such gross apostasy.  As it’s written:

Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

And as it’s also written:

Heb 10:35  Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

 

Heb 10:36  For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

 

Heb 10:37  For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

 

Heb 10:38  Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

 

Heb 10:39  But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

It’s the “little flock” that remains faithfully in Christ’s camp who will be rewarded with salvation.  They don’t follow the masses who are being herded by their governmental and religious leaders onto the road to perdition.

Stay on the strait way that leads back to the eternal family household of God.  Don’t be drawn off by the mass apostasy now beginning to play out on the world scene, right before your very eyes.  The way back into the kingdom of God is through Christ Jesus, and Christ Jesus alone.  Christ is the Living Word.  And all of the rest is just…theater.  Occult theater.  But theater, nonetheless.
