As anyone who has studied this beautiful Psalm knows, it’s an Acrostic Psalm, having four lines assigned to each successive letter of the Hebrew alphabet, except for the fourth line (vs. 7), the eleventh line (vs. 20) and the nineteenth line (vs. 34). That sets verses 7, 20 and 34 apart from the other verses. Read together, those three verses sum up the beautiful message of the Psalm, and form what you might think of as an exclamation point to God’s overall instructions to His elect during the time of Jacob’s trouble.
